The Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences has two academic departments which form the
backbone of the Faculty. These are the Department of Environmental Science and the
Department of Earth Science, which run undergraduate programmes that lead to the award of
BSc in Environmental Science and BSc in Geological Science, respectively.
The Department of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Department of Geo-informatics
and Spatial Development are slated to take-off in the 2019/2020 academic year. These
Departments will run undergraduate programmes leading to the award of BSc in Water,
